Abstract: This paper presents research methods of crack propagation through Mixed-Mode specimens by modeling calculations on computer. Commercial software ANSYS ® was used for the calculation of this paper. Results obtained from experiments help us determine the critical force value to calculate the critical energy dissipation of the structure which decides whether or not cracks can develop by comparing the energy dissipation calculated based on the “virtual crack” technique of Irwin, G.R, with the critical energy dissipation. When the power consumption is less than the critical energy dissipation, it means that cracks do not develop; otherwise, cracks will continue to grow. Models built by ANSYS ® give us results quickly and in many cases, the composition of the structure is calculated after comparing the calculated results and experimental results.
